6 Kilometers is the average distance people living in fragile contexts walk for water – a dangerous walk, especially for young children and girls – to a water source that is often contaminated with life-threatening diseases.
Whether you join your church, your family, your community, or you do it alone, you'll empower children in need with lasting clean water. Now more than ever, clean water is essential to protect vulnerable children and families.
The Global 6K is great because you can do it anywhere! Walk, run or roll the distance, by yourself or with others, and be part of this global movement.
